ATC swap - Halloween

Y ahora que todo el mundo está en modo navideño, pues hoy enseño una ATC de halloween que intercambié con Ceci.

Más circo / More circus

Si hay algo que me gusta de esta vida "virtual" es la posibilidad de encontrar gente con tus mismas aficiones de cualquier parte del mundo.

Y lo mejor es cuando, después de un tiempo de amistad online, consigues encontrarte en la vida real.

What I love most of this virtual life, is the possibilities of find people like you, with the same interest and hobbies from all over the world.

The best part is when -after some time of online friendship- you finally meet eachother in real life.

Ya he comentado en algun momento mi admiración por Sandra van der Geest  y los collages de sus art journals. Conocernos en persona y ver y tocar uno de sus diarios ha sido fantástico. Es tal y como me la imaginaba, encantadora y divertida. Un cielo de mujer.

Y en venganza por la foto que ha puesto ella en su blog, ahí va la mía :) 

I already talked about my admiration for Sandra van der Geest  and her collages and art journals. Meet her irl and see and touch one of her journals has been great. She is as I imagine, sweet, kind and funny. Soooo nice.

And in revenge for posting a pic of me in a no so glamourous pose on her blog, I post this one :)

Buenoooooooo, vaaaale, pongo otra. Pero la cara de gusto al comer el cupcake mola, eh?? 

Con Sandra y Marlies. Dos compañeras de cuarto y cama, que anda que no dio juego el chiste. Marlies, me alegré mucho de conocerte y espero que nos veamos en algun otro sarao.

Cuando se creó el grupo online y nos fuimos conociendo un poco, Linda Sloterdijk y yo quedamos en hacer un swap de ATCs. En principio las
íbamos a enviar por correo, pero a las dos se nos fue la olla y acabamos intercambiando las tarjetas en el taller.

Estas son las de Linda. Se me olvidó hacer fotos de las mias -en mi línea-

Son geniales y hay que tocarlas, porque no se aprecia en las fotos la textura que tienen. Muchísimas gracias Linda. Me encantan.

I also met Linda Sloterdijk  who I swapped 2 ATC's with. These are her ATCs (I forgot to take a pic of mine -as usual-)

They are awesome. The texture is not shown in the pictures, but is great. Thank you so much Linda. I love them

Mixed Media Circus

No quiero daros mucha envidia, pero el finde ha sido LA LECHEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Me lo he pasado en grande, he puesto cara a quienes sólo conocía de la red, he aprendido un montón de cosas, me he reido horrores, he comido unos cupcakes deliciosos, me he atiborrado de chuches, tengo un regalito (todas hemos tenido uno), he intercambiado ATCs (ya las enseño en otro post), me he ensuciado como en el cole, he intentado aprender alguna palabra en alemán y holandés (y se ha quedado en el intento), he compartido un día fantástico con gente creativa y encantadora y todo esto lo han hecho posible mis profes favoritas y dos artistazas, Julie y Nathalie. Mil gracias.

I don't want you to be jelous, but I HAD A BLAAAAAAST!!!

I enjoyed every minute of this weekend, I put a face on those who I only knew on the net, I learnt a lot, I almost died of laughter, I ate some delicious cupcakes and lots of sweets, I had a gift (in fact everyone had one), I swaped two ATCs (I will show them in another post), I got dirty -soooo dirty- I tried to learn something in German and Dutch (nooooooo way), I shared an awesome day with creative and very kind people, and all of this has been possible because of my fave teachers and artists ever, Julie and Nathalie. Thank you soooo much.

Más que un circo, los talleres han sido como una Torre de Babel, con un idioma común, la creatividad y la pasión por el arte mixed media.

More than a circus, the workshops have been like a Tower of Babel, but with a common language, the creativity and the passion for mixed media art.

Los talleres en sí han sido fantásticos. Técnica y nuevas aplicaciones de productos conocidos en el de Nat y una explicación interesantísima sobre el uso de las capas y el color en el de Julie.

Ha sido realmente enriquecedor ver los trabajos finales de todas. Completamente diferentes.

The classes have been awesome. Techniques and new uses for well known products in Nat's class and such an interesting speech about layers and colour in Julie's class. I learnt a lot.


It's been such a great and inspiring experience.

Y para rematar el día, una cena "en familia", con momentos muy divertidos.

To end this special day, a "family dinner" with so funny moments.

El circo continuaba hoy domingo, pero yo tenía que volver a Madrid, así que me pierdo el número final. Seguro que ha sido espectacular.

The circus still goes on today, but I had to come back to Madrid, so I missed the final show. I'm sure it's been spectacular.

¿Conocéis los botones creativos de Station Scrap?

Esther y Marisa han tenido una idea estupenda, y la han plasmado en forma de chapas con unos diseños para todos los gustos. El mio, el vintage.

Han tenido el detalle de enviarme unas muestras de los botones alterables en papel y canvas, que dejo para otra entrada o, si os apetece, para probarlos juntas en una próxima emisión de Livestream.

They gave me a couple of alterable buttons on paper and canvas which I will leave for another post or if you like for testing them with you on a live broadcasting on Livestream

Hoy he sacado el cajón de los retales y ha aparecido un retal de piel, de a saber cuando...

Lo primero que me ha venido a la cabeza ha sido un cuaderno forrado con la piel, pero me gustaban tanto ambos lados, que he decidido hacer un nuevo diario al que no he puesto forro.

La encuadernación es tipo long stitching con 5 signaturas y cordel de bramante, para que quede más rústico.

El botón del reloj, pone el detalle perfecto para el cierre. Y como lleva el enganche del imperdible, queda fijo sin tener que añadir nada más.

I found today a piece of brown leather which I turned into a journal cover. It is raw, no lining. Long stitching binding with 5 signatures.

The vintage clock button gives the perfect touch for the closure. I love it!

 

Me encanta. No creo que tarde en estrenarlo :)

El viernes pasado hicimos una crop en directo para probar los sellos de Lali Alvarez en español.
Por un problema técnico, no se grabó la emisión, pero haremos otra más adelante.

Os dejo una de las tarjetas de hicimos, utilizando la técnica de embossing resist con acuarelas.

Last friday we had an online crop to test Lali Alvarez Spanish stamps.
Due to technical issues, it couldn't be recorded, but we'll do it again in an upcoming new crop.


I show you one of the cards we did, using the technique of embossing resist with watercolours.

Con un poco de hueco para el texto de mañana y doy por finalizada la página.
No pensaba que me iba a caber toda una semana en un sketchbook tan pequeño (18x12,5 cm)

I left a tiny space for tomorrow's journaling and I'm done with the page.
I'd have never thought that a whole week could fit in this little spread.

Ya os he hablado de lo mucho que me gustan sus sellos, sobre todo los de fondos.
