Algo estupendo va a pasar en el blog de Riikka - paperiliitin- este Diciembre 
Junto a un montón de artistas, compartiremos nuestra inspiración y entusiasmo para llegar a Navidades -e incluso más allá- con las pilas puestas. Y yo estoy encantada de formar parte de ello. 


Habrá regalitos, tutoriales, fotos paso a paso y un buen montón de creatividad. 
Estamos deseando que nos acompañes.

Dylusions inks & Balzer Designs Stencils. The perfect match

Si es que no me he podido aguantar. Ayer casi llego tarde al cumple de mi sobrino por estar "guarreando" con mis juguetes nuevos, los colores de Dyan y las nuevas plantillas de Julie. Y ni os cuento con qué manos tan limpias llegué.
Según aterrizaron las tintas a Paraiso Scrap, me las pedí todas. Y es que los colores son muy vivos y algo más transparentes que los color wash de Ranger. Me han gustado muchísimo.
Por otra parte, mi amiga Martha Richardson, acaba de abrir una tienda en Etsy con diseños de sus artistas favoritas (que son las mias también) y allá que he ido a por las plantillas nuevas de Balzer Designs para The Crafters Workshop. Apuntaos la tienda en favoritos, porque va a traer muchas novedades a muy buenos precios y envio razonable.
Os dejo con las pruebas de ayer, que han resultado ser mi nuevo art journal para esta semana.
Tres hojas de acuarela, dobladas por la mitad y cosidas, son suficientes.
Primera capa sólo de color para probar las Dylusions, Stencils y sellos. Un cordel para anudarlas y preparado para meterle collages, lettering y journaling esta semana.
Si quieres ver cómo lo he hecho y "jugar" conmigo en directo, el próximo viernes 4 de mayo, a las 21.00 hs. (hora de Madrid) conectaré a través de Livestream para hacer un nuevo cuaderno. I couldn't resist. Yesterday, I almost was late to my nephew's birthday party cause I was playing with my new toys: Dylusions inks by Dyan Reaveley and Balzer Designs new stencils. 
I bought them from Paraiso Scrap as soon as they arrived. The colors are so vibrant and a bit more translucid than Ranger color washes. I liked Dylusions a lot.
On the other hand, my friend Martha Ricardson, just opened an Etsy store with the designs of her favourite artists (that happen to be my favourites as well) and I bought some of the new stencils (and ordered a few more). You better bookmark the store because Martha has awesome goodies at very good prices and reasonable shipping costs.
I show you my experiments with the inks and stencils, that became my new art journal for this week.
Three watercolor pages, folded in half and a twine for binding.
A first layer only with colors for testing the inks, then the stencils and some stamping. And it is ready for collage, lettering and journaling this week.

Sellos en español de Lali Álvarez / Spanish stamps by Lali Álvarez

Ya están a la venta los nuevos sellos en español de Lali Álvarez.

Son sellos en fotopolímero transparente, bastante gruesos y bien detallados.

Lali me ha dado la ocasión de probar una de sus colecciones. Muchas gracias. Y elegí la colección "semana". Perfecta para el art journaling y -casi te diría que imprescindible- para el "December Daily" de Ali Edwards.

El set de sellos tiene un tamaño de A6 (10.5 x 15 cm). 

Están muy definidos y no se deslizan al estampar.

El próximo viernes 4 de noviembre, a las 21.00 hs. (Madrid) haremos más pruebas en profundidad para sacarle el mayor partido a estos nuevos sellos, que ya tenéis disponibles con el resto de diseños para compra online en Paraiso Scrap. 

Lali estará con nosotras para atender todas vuestras preguntas.

Además, ha tenido el detallazo de sortear uno de sus sets de sellos en español entre todas las que nos acompañeis el viernes, en directo, en mi canal de Livestream.

Nuevos sellos y troqueles "stamp & die-cut" de Hero Arts y Sizzix

He tenido la oportunidad -gracias a Paraiso Scrap- de probar los nuevos sellos y troqueles coordinados de Hero Arts y Sizzix.

El modelo que he probado es el de Navidad, que he utilizado para hacer esta tarjeta. En la tienda tenéis disponible toda la colección.

Consta de 7 sellos de caucho, montados en almohadilla reposicionable, para utilizar con un bloque de metacrilato y los correspondientes troqueles a juego, tipo Framelits .

Los sellos son calidad Hero Arts - fantásticos - no se mueven, dejan una impresión muy clara y el caucho es muy duradero. La novedad es que estos sellos encajan a la perfección en los troqueles framelits, por muy intrincado que sea el dibujo, ahorrándonos el trabajo de recortar las imágenes más complicadas.

Su utilización es muy sencilla. Se estampa el sello, se coloca el troquel encima, cuidando de dejar la imagen centrada (ojo, que hay truco para que no se mueva. Te lo enseño el viernes) y se pasa por la big shot. Fácil, ¿no creéis?

El próximo viernes 28, estaré en directo en Livestream probando otros usos con los sellos y los troqueles. Ani estará también para atender vuestras preguntas ¿Te apetece acompañarnos? I've been testing the new Hero Arts and Sizzix' matching stamps and die-cuts, by courtesy of Ani from Paraiso Scrap.

I made this card using the Christmas set. The whole collection is available on the online store. 

The set holds 7 rubber stamps, mounted on cling cushion, to be used with an acrylic block. It also comes with the matching framelits dies.

The stamps are great quality (Hero Arts). They do not slip, leave a clear stamped image and the rubber is long lasting. These stamps fit perfectly within the framelits dies, even when it is such an intrincate image. This system, save the work of cutting the more complicated images.

The use is very easy. Stamp the rubber stamp, apply the die (be careful because the die may slip a bit -see my tip on friday to avoid this-) and finally pass it through the big shot. Easy peasy

Next friday, 28th I'll be broadcasting live from Livestream, testing new uses for these stamps and dies. Ani, from Paraiso Scrap will be with us to answer your questions. Do you want to join us? Muchas gracias a todas por vuestros comentarios en el post anterior y en facebook.

Si os parece, y ya que algunas os quedasteis con las ganas de ver el paso a paso de los adornos de fimo, mañana os cito aquí mismo para hacer otra tanda desde el principio y ver cómo usar lo que hagamos en una ATC.

Sólo tengo 2 huecos libres mañana por la tarde. O bien, de 17.30 a 19.30 hs. o bien ya por la noche, a partir de las 22.30 hs.

Dejadme un comentario aquí diciendo qué hora os viene mejor y mañana quedamos, ¿vale? :)

Some of you asked for a recorded video of the "making of". Well, I always forget to click the "save" button. So, I'll try again tomorrow. I will do another batch of embellishments from scratch and I'll use some in an ATC.

I only have 2 spots tomorrow afternoon. From 17.30 to 19.30 GMT+1 or later in the evening, from 22.30 hs GMT+1

Los viernes, crop / Friday's crop

En tu casa… y en la mía.

Como sabéis, el viernes pasado estuve de pruebas en mi página de facebook, para emitir en directo desde mi “scraprUm”.

Pilar, Ceci, Judit y alguna otra que se asomó pero no quiso saludar ;) probamos en directo y la verdad es que nos gustó la experiencia. El video se ve y se oye bastante bien y yo, a la vez que trabajo puedo leer vuestros comentarios y contestar “de viva voz”

Así que he decidido instaurar “Los viernes, crop”

Todos los viernes que pueda conectaré por la noche (a partir de las 23.00 hs. GMT+1) desde aquí. Trabajaré en algún proyecto o técnica en concreto que os anunciaré ese mismo día y estáis todos invitados a acompañarme, charlar, preguntar y pasar un rato divertido.

No es necesario registrarse. Aunque te agradecería que hicieras check-in desde la misma página para poder participar en el chat y hacer la experiencia más interactiva.

Por otra parte, es posible que entre semana me encuentres trabajando por las noches, ya que tendré la cámara conectada a ratos.

Live from my scraproom via Facebook

As you may know, last Friday I was testing a new feature in my facebook’s page (livestream tab) A streaming video from my house.

Some of you joined me to check how it worked. The video and sound was quite good and the chat is a great feature. While I’m working I can read your messages and reply “viva voce”

So I’m glad to announce the release of “Friday’s crop”.

As much Fridays as I can, I will connect via my page -livestream tab- (from 23.00 hs. GMT+1) with all of you. I will be working on an ongoing project or technique that I’ll tell you that day. All of you are invited to join me, chat, ask questions and have fun.

It’s not necessary to log-in. But I’d be glad if you check-in from the same page and take part in the chat, to make the experience more interactive.

On the other side, you can probably see me along the week, on nights, working in my scraproom, because I’ll have the webcam connected from time to time.
