Música para Inkurable Stampers

Este mes, el tema en Inkurable Stampers es "Música".
Mi proyecto es una funda de CD alterada para un cd de mi música favorita "de toda la vida".

This month, the theme at Inkurable Stampers is "Music".
I altered a CD sleeve for a mixed cd with my favourite timeless songs

Para hacer el collage del fondo, he utilizado restos de papeles de libros, partituras, periódicos, y los he ido pegando con cola sobre la funda.

I used some scraps to make the background collage, such as design papers, music scores, newspapers and old books, which I glued with modge podge over the sleeve.

Una vez seco, aplico una capa de gesso muy fina

Once dried, I applied a thin layer of gesso.

Con la brocha mojada en agua, aclaro la capa de gesso hasta que aparezcan los papeles de fondo.

I used a wet brush to lighten the background.

Secamos el exceso de agua con una toalla de papel

Apply a paper towel to dry the excess water

Mojamos el rodillo en pintura acrílica y lo pasamos por una toalla de papel antes de aplicarlo al proyecto, para que no pinte demasiado.

I used the roller with the acrylics but, rolled it over a paper towel before doing it over the project.

Estampamos y "embosseamos" el sello sobre una partitura. El sello es de katzelkraft.

I stamped and embossed a stamp by Katzelkraft

Recortamos, envejecemos los bordes con tintas distress y pegamos a la funda

I cut it out and distressed the edges with distress inks.

Terminamos de decorar con letras y stickers de Tim Holtz.

I finished it with disstresable letters and stickers by Tim Holtz.

Fondo con rodillo / Brayer background

Noe me trajo ayer un nuevo rodillo y no me he aguantado las ganas para empezar a jugar. He hecho una nueva ATC utilizando el fondo que he creado con el rodillo y plástico de burbujas. Comenzamos con unas gotas de pintura acrílica sobre una cartulina blanca

My friend Noe gave me yesterday a new brayer and I couldn't wait to start playing with it. I made a new ATC using my fave background technique with bubble wrap. I started with a few drops of acrylic paint in a white cardstock.

Extendemos la pintura con el rodillo en todas las direcciones

Then start to spread the paint with the brayer in different directions

Seguir añadiendo pintura extendiéndola con el rodillo hasta que consigamos un fondo que nos guste.

Continue adding drops of paint and spreading them with the brayer until the cardstock is completely covered.

Envolvemos el rodillo con plástico de burbujas y lo cubrimos con pintura acrílica que previamente habremos extendido en una paleta o similar. Pintamos sobre nuestro fondo teniendo en cuenta que cuanto más rápido pasemos el rodillo, más fina se notará la textura.

Now, the fun part. Cover the brayer with bubble wrap (bubbles outside) and pour some paint in a palette. I used a plastic lid and white colour.Cover the bubbles with the paint. And start painting over your background The quicker you roll the brayer, the thinner will be the print.

He recortado el fondo a tamaño ATC y lo he decorado con un sello de Stamp-it, al que he aplicado polvos de embossing.

I cut the background to an ATC size and finally embellished with an embossed stamp from Stamp-it
