INKTOBER - Week 1

De momento voy llevando bien el ritmo, incluso he adelantado alguno de los siguientes temas.
Aquí os dejo los dibujos de la primera semana.

INKTOBER

Un año más, participo en el reto INKTOBER en Instagram,  que creó hace años Jake Parker.

El reto consiste en hacer un dibujo a tinta cada día del mes, siguiendo una serie de temas dados.

Como dice Jake en sus "reglas" todo está abierto a interpretación. De hecho, hay muchos retos similares en octubre, cambiando la temática, o los materiales a usar.

Yo me voy a ceñir a los temas oficiales, y utilizaré rotuladores micron y tintas inktense para dar color a mis dibujos.

One more time I'm taking part on INKTOBER challenge over Instagram. A challenge created by Jake Parker.

He challenges us to create an ink drawing every day of October, following the prompts given.

As Jake states in his "rules", it is open to interpretation. In fact, there are lots of similar challenges this months, changing the prompts, or even the media used.

I'm sticking with the official prompts and I will use micron pens and inktense blocks to add color.

Banksy, el famoso artista de graffiti, es conocido por sus stencils en los muros de las ciudades. Esta imagen es de 2008 y está en una pared de Nueva Orleans, en Lousiana.
En una entrevista, Banksy dijo que se supone que simboliza la gente que cree qué es lo mejor para ellos, cuando en realidad, eso mismo es lo que les hace daño.

Famous graffiti artist, Banksy, is wildly known for his stencil art. This piece of work done in 2008 showed up on a wall in New Orleans, Lousiana. 
In an interview, Banksy said that it was supposed to symbolize how people may think the best thing for them is helping them, but in reality, it is actually hurting them. 
In this piece, the girl is supposed to be shielded by an umbrella from the rain, instead, the rain is coming from inside the umbrella, betraying its duty. (text from https://theartofgraffiti.wordpress.com)

El Puente de Carlos - Charles Bridge - Karlův most

Karlův most, que cruza el rio Moldava, es el puente más viejo de Praga

El puente tiene una longitud de 516 metros y la anchura es de casi 10 metros, al tiempo que se encuentra apoyado en 16 arcos. Está protegido por 3 torres distribuidas entre sus dos cabeceras, dos de ellas en Malá Strana y la restante en el extremo ubicado en la Ciudad Vieja. La torre localizada en la cabecera de la Ciudad Vieja es considerada por muchos como una de las construcciones más impresionantes de la arquitectura gótica en el mundo. El puente está decorado por 30 estatuas situadas a ambos lados del mismo, la mayor parte de las cuales son de estilo barroco y fueron esculpidas alrededor del 1700.

Astrólogos y numerólogos determinaron que Carlos IV debía asistir al asentamiento de la piedra fundamental a las 5:31 horas del 9 de julio de 1357. Este preciso momento puede ser enunciado como 135797531, y conforma una secuencia capicúa de dígitos impares ascendentes y descendentes, que se encuentra grabada en la torre de la Ciudad Vieja. Karlův most is a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of the 15th century.

The bridge is 621 metres (2,037 ft) long and nearly 10 metres (33 ft) wide, following the example of the Stone Bridge in Regensburg, it was built as a bow bridge with 16 arches shielded by ice guards. It is protected by three bridge towers, two of them on the Lesser Quarter side and the third one on the Old Town side. The Old Town Bridge Tower is often considered to be one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style, originally erected around 1700 but now all replaced by replicas.

Czech legend has it that construction began on Charles Bridge at 5:31am on 9 July 1357 with the first stone being laid by Charles IV himself. This exact time was very important to the Holy Roman Emperor because he was a strong believer of numerology and felt that this specific time, which formed a palindrome (1357 9, 7 5:31), was a numerical bridge, and would imbue Charles Bridge with additional strength (Wikipedia)

ART JOURNAL 2017 - SILUETAS

He comenzado una serie de páginas en mi art journal incluyendo siluetas retocadas en photoshop, a partir de fotos.

Os dejo un par de páginas de la nueva serie, en las que he utilizado técnicas mixed media, con stencils de Todo Stencil para los fondos y aerógrafo.

I've started a new series in my art journal, featuring silhouettes which I altered in photoshop from stock photos.

You can see below a couple of pages from the new series. I used mixed media techniques with stencils by Todo Stencil and airbrush for the backgrounds.

Pocket journal - Textures

Hoy se acaba el taller de tintas acrílicas de Nat Kalbach, pero aun tengo muchos deberes que hacer, videos que ver y re-ver.
Como siempre, divertido, exhaustivo e interesante. Totalmente recomendable.
Muchos trucos e ideas e inspiración de todas las que participamos.
Puedes apuntarte en cualquier momento. No te lo pierdas.
Mis deberes de esta semana

Uber*media acrylic inks class by Nat Kalbach is coming to an end, but I have still too much to do and watch and re-watch :)
I've taken all Nat's Uber*media classes so far (I hope there're still more to come) and she never disappointed me. Her classes are funny, interesting and exhaustive and you get a good deep knowledge of each media. The self-pace timing is perfect for those who have "lots of things on our plate" :) and the flickr group is an inspiration resource. 
I totally recommend it.
You can sign up whenever you want. Do not miss it.

Pocket journal - Feria Creativa

Sábado de chicas. Finde de Feria Creativa en Madrid. La primera que se celebra aquí.

Me gustó:

Encontrarme con muchas caras conocidas
Ver la cantidad de manualidades distintas que hay para escoger
Mucha variedad de tiendas a cual más bonita.
Los materiales para Navidad. No me resistí a la colección "All is bright" de Rhonna Farrer para My mind's eye.
Producto español en tiendas de scrap. Una buenísima apuesta de Scraphouse
Charlar un rato con la familia de Paraiso Scrap. Siempre un lujo.
El taller de jabones al que fuí con Helena en el stand de Arvika. Astrid un encanto y el taller fantástico. El regalito de la mesa de navidad de este año ya lo tengo listo.
Acabar la feria y seguir de parranda hasta las tantas con una panda de marujas. Eso sí que no tiene precio. Me lo pasé en grande, nos reímos como quinceañeras y alguna hasta ligó con el "camarero de la sonrisa amable" jajajaja.

No me gustó:

Lo mal aprovechado que estaba el espacio de la feria. Estaba abarrotado y había pasillos por los que no se podía apenas andar.
No todos los stands tenían pago con tarjeta
No había cajeros automáticos. ¿CÓMOOOO?
No funcionaban las máquinas de vending. ¿EIN?
Estando como está el pabellón, tan aislado, la única opción si no querías coger el coche, era comer allí. Me ahorro el comentario sobre los precios, y menos mal que comimos pronto, porque se acabó hasta la coca cola.
Muy mal para la organización de la Feria. Espero que tomen nota para la próxima edición.

Y cómo no, un par de páginas para mi pocket journal y mis deberes del curso de tintas acrílicas de Nat.

I went this saturday to the first Feria Creativa in Madrid.
Lots of beautiful shops of all kind of crafts, patchwork, scrapbooking, stitching, cooking, candles, soap...
I took a workshop to make soap bombs and lollipops. So funny and addictive.
I bought 2 kits to make more soap at home with the kids.
A great day spent with friends. Girl power!!!

Pocket journal. El bosque encantado

Este finde hemos estado en un jardín botánico muy particular.
El jardín de Eduardo Manostijeras en pleno Madrid. El bosque encantado
Un paseo muy agradable para toda la familia, que tiene su hueco en mi journal de bolsillo.
Y así practico y hago los deberes del curso de tintas acrílicas de Nat.

Pocket journal - Journal de bolsillo

Han empezado las clases de tintas acrílicas en N*Studio con Nat Kalbach

Y como buena estudiante, empiezo artjournal nuevo, todo limpito, con mi nombre puesto en la primera hoja y listo para guarrear.

Esta vez, me he decidido por uno chiquitito, tamaño bolsillo. Ya os contaré más sobre él. De momento estoy  de pruebas.

Las clases, como siempre, con explicaciones muy exhaustivas de cómo y por qué y de qué manera sacar el mayor partido a las tintas. Muchas ideas y mucho color. Si te lo estás pensando, no lo dudes.

Y para prueba un botón. Mis primeras páginas. (click en la imagen para ampliarla)

The Über*media Acrylic Inks class has just begun at N*Studio with Nat Kalbach

And as a good pupil, I started a new journal, all "clean", with my name in the upper right side of the first page and ready to turn into a dirty, dirty, dirty journal.

This time, I chose a little pocket journal. I will talk about it later in another post. I'm just testing the paper.

The class, as always, with exhaustive explanations on how, why and the best way to take the most of the inks. Lots of ideas and lots of colour. If you're thinking about signing up, do not doubt and do it.
