Comienza en el momento en que te sientas. Una experiencia que es claramente Art Journaling. Euforia, sensación de control, sorprendente capacidad de respuesta de los materiales artísticos, como si fueran simplemente una extensión de ti.

Hay una palabra para esta experiencia creativa: Artvergnugen! Es lo que hace de tu journal una obra de arte.

Acompaña a Nathalie es este taller de medio día y juega con los diferentes materiales y mediums artísticos. Aprende técnicas, consejos y trucos para llevar tu art journaling más allá y convertirlo en Artvergnugen.

It starts the moment you sit down, an experience that is distinctly Art Journaling. A quick exhilaration, a sense of control, the art media’s surprising responsiveness as if they were simply an extension of you.

No tienes excusa. En nuestro taller “words on wood”, con M. Carmen Sánchez (Cuchy), pintaremos un panel de madera, envejeciéndolo y haremos que nuestra cita favorita destaque con una tipografía elegante, divertida y escrita por tí.

Además, las técnicas aprendidas podrás utilizarlas en tu art journal o en trabajos de scrapbooking.

Acompáñanos y deja que hablen las palabras.

Do you see those wooden panels with witty quotes and do you ask yourself how to do them? Do you think your handlettering is “dull” and you would like to make it stunning?

You do not have any excuse. In our workshop “words on wood” with M. Carmen Sánchez (Cuchy), we will paint a wooden panel, distress it and we will make our favourite quote to pop up with an elegant and funny typo, handwritten by you.

Besides, you could use the learnt techniques in your art journal or in scrapbooking works.

Aun estoy algo resacosa de todas las emociones del fin de semana.
I feel like having a hangover for all feelings of this weekend.

Ha sido genial. Me he reído hasta llorar. Y he disfrutado de cada uno de los momentos que he pasado con Nat y todas vosotras.

We had a blast! I almost died of laugther. And I enjoyed every moment spent with Nat and all of you.

Lo primero dar las gracias a Nathalie por confiar en mí para esta aventura y apoyarme desde miles de kilómetros de distancia en toda la organización de Art Mesa.

First of all, I want to thank Nathalie for trusting me in this adventure and support me from far, far away in all the organization matters. You, sweetheart, rock!

Art Mesa Madrid 2011 - Talleres / Workshop

La mayoría sabéis que una de mis artistas favoritas es Nathalie Kalbach.

Desde que la conocí en un taller online y después en persona, en Barcelona, he seguido sus trabajos y sus técnicas.

Como artista de mixed media, su estilo colorido y su aplicación de todo tipo de técnicas y recursos me encanta y por encima de todo, es una bellísima persona.

Por eso, cuando me comentó en un correo medio en broma, medio en serio, que podíamos hacer juntas un taller en Madrid, no me lo pensé y le contesté: vale ¿hablamos en serio?

Y de esa conversación ha salido Art Mesa Madrid 2011, una jornada de talleres mixed media con Nat y conmigo el próximo 4 de junio, sábado, en Tres Cantos, Madrid.

Hemos creado un blog con toda la información sobre los talleres y que podéis encontrar aquí.

Las plazas son muy limitadas, así que si te apetece pasar una jornada artística y divertida, no te lo pienses mucho y anímate.

Tanto Nat como yo estamos muy ilusionadas con esta “aventura” y encantadas de compartirla con vosotras.

Most of you know that one of my favourite artists is Nathalie Kalbach.

Since I knew her, in an online workshop and later, IRL in Barcelona in one of her workshops, I followed her work and artistic techniques.

As a mixed media artist, I love her colourful style and how she applies all kind of techniques and resources. And on top of everything else, she is a wonderful person.

That’s why, when she replied one of my emails and told me –half serious- that we could do a workshop in Madrid together, I didn’t think twice and told her: “ok, let’s talk seriously”.

From that chat Art Mesa Madrid 2011 has born. A whole day of mixed media workshops with Nat and myself next june 4th, saturday in Tres Cantos, Madrid.

We have set up a new blog with all the important information. You can find it here

Seats are limited, so if you are interested and want to spend a creative and funny day with us, come and join in.

Both, Nat and myself are thrilled with this adventure and so glad to share it with you.
