Acrylic pouring - Dip technique

Si sois aficionados a los vertidos acrílicos, os encontraréis al final de una sesión con una mesa llena de restos de pintura  húmeda. 

No hay por qué desperdiciar esa pintura. Sólo tienes que coger una silueta de madera, un tag de cartón duro, una pieza de azulejo... y posarlo sobre esos restos de pintura para conseguir un efecto marmoleado como el de mi caballito de mar de TodoStencil

If you are a fan of acrylic pouring, you will find, at the end of a pouring session, with a mess in your table. Do not waste it. Grab a wooden silhouette, a cardboard tag... whatever and dip it into the wet paint and lift it up. You will have a marble look on it.

Si dejamos secar la pintura sobre una superficie no porosa, podremos levantarla como si fuera una piel y hacer pequeños objetos de bisutería.

If you let the leftovers to dry on a non pourous surface, you will have a skin to cut and make little pieces of jewelry

DIY Ukelele

Por mi cumple, me han regalado un kit para hacer un ukele.

He aprovechado mis nuevas pinturas metálicas Americana de Decoart para decorarlo.

Ahora sólo falta aprender a tocarlo y practicar

I got a DIY ukelele for my birthday.

I used my new Decoart Americana Metallics to decorate it.

I just have to learn how to play it and practice.

Acrylic Pouring Workshop

Esta semana he impartido un taller privado en inglés para un par de mujeres americanas que no pudieron venir a la "pouring night".

El hecho de que fuera un taller particular, aportó mucho, no solo a ellas para las que las explicaciones fueron personalizadas, sino también a mí. Nos cundió muchísimo y pasamos una mañana muy entretenida.

Si quieres un taller particular de pouring, mixed media o art journal, no tienes más que enviarme un mensaje y lo hablamos.

This week, I taught a private workshop in English for two beautiful ladies who couldn't come to our last pouring night.

The fact that this was private, made the workshop so much personal and interesting, not only for them, but me. We had a lot of fun and made a lot of samples and techniques.

Decoart Certified Ambassador

La semana pasada asistí en Madrid al curso para obtener el certificado de "Embajadora" de la marca Decoart, organizado por Artesanías Chopo.

Last week, I attended in Madrid the Decoart Certified Ambassador Course, hosted by Artesanías Chopo.

El curso, intensivo, forma parte del programa "Ambassador" que la marca está implantando a nivel internacional y hemos tenido la suerte de que ha empezado en España.

The workshop, very intensive, is part of the Ambassador program that Decoart are starting internationally. We have been lucky the first stop was Spain

Los distintos talleres los ha impartido la reconocida artista Sandy McTier, con la colaboración y traducción de la "senior Designer Coordinator" de la marca, Pla Schneider.

The awesome artist Sandy McTier and Decoart Senior Designer Coordinator, Pla Scheneider have been our teachers. 

Han sido cuatro días llenos de proyectos, técnicas, aprendizaje de productos, de sus propiedades... y también, como no, de risas, compañerismo y mucha creatividad. Ha sido un lujo conocer a todo tipo de artistas de diferentes disciplinas, lo que ha hecho el curso aún más gratificante.

Four days full of projects, techniques, learning and also lots of laughing, friendship and creativity. It's been a pleasure to meet all kind of artists from different art disciplines, what made the workshop even more gratifying.

Muchas gracias a Decoart y Chopo por confiar en nosotros y por poner esa primera piedra en una colaboración mutua. Y gracias a Sandy y Pla. Hemos aprendido mucho  y hemos disfrutado de vuestra compañía.

Thank you Decoart and Chopo for trusting us. For lying the first stone in our mutual collaboration. And thank you Sandy and Pla. We learned a lot and we really enjoyed your company.
