My Creative Jump Start 2012

Se acabó enero, y si me descuido se acaba febrero.

Uno de los hitos de este mes, ha sido el Creative Jump Start que ha organizado Nathalie Kalbach y al que muchas de vosotras os habéis suscrito.

Un mes lleno de inspiración e ideas para empujarnos a "currar".

En la última newsletter tenéis las indicaciones para ver todos los Jump Starts, si os habéis perdido alguno. En el blog de Nat bajo la pestaña de Free Tutorials.

Mil gracias a todas las jumpstarters por compartir sus ideas y su tiempo y sobre todo gracias a Nat por confiar en mí y contar conmigo en este fantástico proyecto.

Espero que os haya gustado y hayáis aprovechado alguna de las ideas y trucos de las jumpstarters. Si ha sido así, recordad que hay abierta una galería en flickr para compartir todos vuestros trabajos.

Menudo empiece ha tenido el "Creative Jump Start Summit 2012". 

Con cerca de 4.000 suscriptores, la respuesta a la fantástica idea de Nathalie Kalbach está siendo increíble.

Mil gracias a todos.

Hasta ahora hemos calentado motores con Dina, nos hemos mojado conmigo y nos hemos quitado el miedo a una página en blanco de la mano de Cat.

Yo estoy con las pilas puestas. ¿Y tú?

Quiero daros las gracias a todas por vuestras visitas y comentarios en mi JumpStart. En especial a todas las que habéis hecho un esfuerzo y me habéis dejado unas palabras en español. De corazón, muchísimas gracias.

También quiero aprovechar para responder a algunas cuestiones que se han planteado en los comentarios. Aunque lo he hecho directamente en la página de mi JumpStart, quizá pueda ser útil a quien no los haya leído.

- ¿No tienes la bigshot? No problemo. Prueba la misma técnica con un sello profundo o un molde, como hacíamos en el cole, haciendo mucha presión en el papel. Prueba si tienes con una máquina de pasta, o como alguna ha sugerido, con una prensa de encuadernación.

- No lo intentes con la vagabond. No quiero ser responsable de un cortocircuito :)

- Prueba a dejar secar un poco primero el papel si te da miedo meterlo mojado en la máquina.

- No importa que el papel tenga relieve, al mojarse desaparece.

- Utiliza pintura acrílica o acuarela para dar color.

- Los colores que yo he utilizado son: Wild Plum and Lettuce Color Wash / Sunflower Glimmer Mist y Ancient Copper Cosmic Shimmer Mist.

Yo os he dado el empujón, el resto lo ponéis vosotras con vuestras ideas y creatividad.

So far, we have warm ourselves up with Dina, we got a bit wet with me and we took our fears off with Cat.


I'm with the batteries on, and you?


I want to thank you all for your visits and comments on my video. Specially to the ones who made the effort of leaving some words in Spanish. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.


I also want to answer some questions that you asked on my JumpStart's page.


- Don't you own a big shot? No problemo. Try the same technique with a deep rubber stamp or a mold - like paper casting at school - pressing the paper. Try it with a pasta machine or -as one of you suggested- with a book press.


- Do not try it with a vagabond. I don´t want to be responsible of a short-circuit :)


- If you don´t want your machine to get wet, let the paper dry a bit before putting it through the machine.


- No matter if your paper has a pattern already embossed, it will fade out when wet.


- Use acrylics or watercolours instead of spray paints.


- The colours I used are: Wild Plum and Lettuce Color Wash / Sunflower Glimmer Mist and Ancient Copper Cosmic Shimmer Mist

Dentro de nada estamos en enero -un mes lleno de promesas, propósitos y buenas intenciones. Un mes que llega después de un montón de celebraciones familiares y saraos de fin de año.

January is approaching–a month that is full with promises, resolutions and intentions. A month that for many is following lots of holiday celebrations, family gatherings and other end-of-the-year events.

Es tiempo de volver a ponernos las pilas creativas. Y de repente, el parón. Con tanta fiesta perdemos esa rutina de cómo empezar. Pues aquí tenéis la solución.


It’s also time to start creating again. But suddenly there it is for some of us: that lost feeling on how to start. Here is the cure 


Un grupo de mujeres estupendas y creativas de todo el mundo, tanto del campo del scrapbooking como de mixed media, nos hemos unido en el "Creative Jump Start Summit 2012". Juntas, os vamos a contar cómo volver a la rutina creativa y como hacer que vuelva la inspiración. Un empujón a vuestra creatividad en 2012.

A group of wonderful, inspiring and creative women from around the globe in the scrapbooking and mixed media fields have joined together for the Creative Jump Start Summit 2012. We are coming together to tell you how we get back into the creative groove and how we get our creative juices flowing. We want to share with you to help you jump start your creativity in 2012.
